If a recent listing from a Danish retailer is to be believed, GTA V will release on November 14 for the PS4, Xbox One and PC.
The listing is for Europe only, which in most cases is a day or two after the North American release. It’s also to be noticed that titles usually release on a Friday in Europe, giving this listing at least some small degree of authenticity.
Furthermore Coolshop.dk is the same site that predicted last year that GTA V would release later this year for both the current-gen consoles and PC. At that time you can well imagine how their opinion was sneered at by the community. However, since then Rockstar has confirmed the ports and that in turn adds even more credibility to the website.
If GTA V really does release on November 14 in Europe, then it will arrive in North America earlier in the week, probably on November 11.
This time frame puts GTA V against the likes of Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, The Crew, and Halo: The Master Chief Collection. All three are beefy titles that will sell well. However, it’s highly unlikely that a year’s time has dampened the shine on GTA V.
The new versions are to feature even greater visual fidelity, making the wait even more worthwhile.
Rockstar has yet to officially comment on the listing and one shouldn’t expect them to. The company likes to keep everyone in the dark until everything’s finalized; an opposite of others who love to update their fans with each step in order to increase the hype.
