Pokemon Go Gen 2 Pokemon Evolution Guide – How to Evolve, Evolution Items

21 Feb

Pokemon Go Gen 2 Pokemon Evolution Guide to help you learn everything you need to know about evolving along with evolution items.

Niantic Labs has finally release generation 2 Pokemon for Pokemon Go. Players have access to generation 2 Pokemon but they need special items that would allow generation 1 Pokemon to generation 2.

However, players are having a hard time understanding how this works and what items they need to evolve certain times to generation 1 Pokemon to generation 2.

For more help on Pokemon Go, read out our Pokemon Types Farming Guide, How to Throw PokeBalls Properly, and How to Track Nearby Pokemon.

Pokemon Go gen 2 Pokemon evolution guide will help you understand what items to use and how the system works.

Pokemon Go Gen 2 Pokemon Evolution Guide

Developers have added Metal Coat, Sun Stone, Dragon Scale, Up-Grade and King’s Rock evolution items to Pokemon Go. You can get all of the above-mentioned items at the Pokeshop.  You can also get Nanab and Pinap, the two new berries. Keep in mind that getting these items at Pokeshop early on may not happen. Evolution items are rare so you need to be patient.

  • Metal Coat – Scyther – Scizor
  • Sun Stone – Gloom – Bellossom
  • Sun Stone – Sunkern – Sunflora
  • Up-Grade – Porygon – Porygon 2
  • King’s Rock – Slowbrow – Slowking
  • Metal Coat – Onix – Steelix
  • Dragon Scale – Seadra – Kingdra
  • King’s Rock – Poliwhirl – Politoed

Berries are much easier to find compared to evolution items. You can visit different Pokestops collecting berries. That is not the only way to get your hands on berries, you can do also earn them via level up rewards. Hopefully, Niantic Labs will adjust the drop rate for evolution items as they are extremely rare.

Pokemon Go is now available on iOS and Android devices.

Pokemon Go Guide: How to Unlock Umbreon and Espeon

21 Feb

Pokemon Go guide will help you get your hands on Umbreon and Espeon. For those who don’t know, Pokemon Go players now have access to gen 2 Pokemon. There are two Pokemon available right now, Umbreon and Espeon.

For more help on Pokemon Go, read out our Potions Guide, Combat Tips and Strategy Guide, and Lucky Eggs and Incubator Guide.

Pokemon Go guide will discuss how you can get your hands on Umbreon and Espeon. Keep mind that both will Evolve from Eevee so you need to find this Pokemon first.

Pokemon Go Guide

Eevee will evolve into Umbreon but first you need to name Eevee Tamao.  Meanwhile, those trying to make Eevee evolve into Espeon, name it Sakura. Keep in mind that this process will work only one time so make sure that Eevee you have is worth evolving.

Evolving the first Eevee you come across may not be the first idea as using Umbreon and Espeon in battle won’t be as effective. Being careful about which Eevee and when to evolve is very important as it will increase their efficiency in battle.

There are other ways to get these gen 2 Pokemon but this is the most convenient and quick process. Niantic Labs will keep adding more Pokemon to the mix so we will have more for you in the future.

Pokemon Go is now available on iOS and Android.

Pokemon Go: these new Evolution items are obtained at PokeStops – but the drop rate’s all over the place

18 Feb

The large Pokemon GO update this week not only brought with it 80 new monsters and customization options, but new Evolution Items as well. Apparently, they are also rather rare.

According to Nintendo Life, the new Evolution Items in Pokemon Go can be obtained at PokeStops, and currently there are five stone types:

  • Dragon Scale: Evolves Seadra into Kingdra
  • King’s Rock: Evolves Poliwhirl into Politoed / Slowpoke into Slowking
  • Metal Coat: Onix into Steelix / Scyther into Scizor
  • Sun Stone: Gloom into Bellossom / Sunkern into Sunflora
  • Upgrade: Porygon into Porygon2

These Evolution items are used to evolve the aforementioned Gen 1 Pokemon into Gen 2 creatures. However, the drop rate for the Evolution times seems to vary, hugely.

Over on reddit, some users report going to multiple PokeStops without obtaining a single Evolution item. One user said they spun over 250 times and went home empty handed, while another obtained one on their first PokeStop spin.

Along with Evolution items, there are two new berries at PokeStops which help players entice Pokemon: Nanab and Pinap.

The former slows the Pokemon down to make it easier to catch, while the latter doubles the candy handed over upon being caught. The drop rate on these berries is said to be much higher than the Evolution items.

In other words, keep trying and use those berries. It’s unknown if this intended programming on Niantic’s part, or if there is a balancing issue.

But at this point, it’s basically like rolling for loot in D&D: some have better luck than others.

Terraria has sold 20.5 million copies since its release in 2011

18 Feb

Since its release in May 2011, Terraria has sold 20.5 million copies, according to developer Re-Logic.

The milestone was reached by the end of 2016, meaning over 4.1 million copies of Terraria have been sold each year for the past five years. 8.3 million units were sold within the last 18 months on PC since update 1.3 launched in June 2015.

Along with unit sales figure, (thanks, PCgamesN) the studio also shared more stats on the 2D sandbox adventure since launch day:

Launch (May 2011)

  • PC only
  • Over 250 Items
  • Six NPCs (seven counting the old man)
  • 20 Enemies
  • Three Bosses
  • Ten Biomes
  • Game “ended” with the Dungeon, explorable upon defeating the final boss of the game at the time.

  • Available on: PC/Mac/Linux, Xbox 360, Xbox One, PS3, Vita, PS4, 3DS, Wii U, iOS, Android, Windows Phone, and Amazon mobile.
  • Over 3,800 Items
  • 25 NPCs (26 if, again, you count the old man)
  • Over 350 Enemies
  • 16 Bosses (plus nine mini-bosses)
  • 27 Biomes (Plus a number of “mini-biomes” such as Pyramids or Living Trees)
  • Optional “Events” (The Moons, Invasions, etc)
  • Game “ends” with Moonlord, though optional content remains
  • Expert Mode
  • Numerous Quality of Life Improvements
  • More planned

The developers also promised there are more “tidbits” they aren’t quite ready to share yet, including and update on the status of Otherworld.

Also, update 1.3 for consoles is “just around the corner,” according to the studio with the mobile version releasing afterward.

Re-Logic also described Terraria as a franchise with “so much life left in it,” in the post, and said it “cannot wait to share those plans in the months and years to come.”

Pokemon Go’s big update is rolling out now, so you can get your hands on over 80 new Gen 2 ‘mon

17 Feb

Pokemon Go developer Niantic produces a heck of a lasso and ropes you right back in.

A Pokemon Go update is rolling out now on Android (0.57.2) and iOS (1.27.2), so check Google Play and the App Store to see if your region is ready to rock the new content, which includes more than 80 new Pokemon.

This is the big Pokemon Go update Niantic revealed earlier this week, and represents the first major expansion of catchable Pokemon since the app launched in July 2016.

The new Pokemon are Generation 2 beasties, first found in the Johto region. Some of them come in gender variations, so be sure to grab them all.

There are some other cool changes to Pokemon Go in this update, including increased rewards when catching evolved Pokemon and new night mode map and music.

Here are the full patch notes for the Pokemon Go Gen 2 update:

  • Over 80 additional Pokémon originally discovered in the Johto region can be caught.
  • Gender-specific variations of select Pokémon can be caught.
  • Added new encounter mechanics.
  • Added Poké Ball and Berry selection carousels to the encounter screen.
  • Added two new Berries.
  • Added new avatar outfit and accessory options.
  • Added new night-mode map and encounter music.
  • Added bonus Candies for catching Evolved Pokémon.
  • Implemented Apple Watch connection stability improvement.
  • Various bug fixes.
  • Minor text fixes.

Pokémon GO: Umbreon and Espeon cheats, and Nanab and Pinap Berry Guide

17 Feb
Pokémon GO has just seen its largest update to date, and part of that includes the addition of 80 new Pokémon. Two of these Pokémon are the Umbreon and Espeon, which are two new Eevee evolutions from the Gold and Silver generation of the game. Also added to the game are the Pinap and Nanab […]

New Vampire: The Masquerade and Mage: The Ascension games show White Wolf, World of Darkness are officially out of hibernation

16 Feb

Two new World of Darkness games out right now within a month of Werewolf: The Apocalypse’s announce? Every 90’s kid RPG nerd in the building is getting misty-eyed.

Vampire: The Masquerade is a brand legendary among video games for classic, broken Troika RPG Bloodlines, but for those whose hobbies include tabletop gaming it’s only the tip of the iceberg.

World of Darkness, the huge family of pen-and-paper RPGS to which Vampire: The Masquerade belongs, is back in action all of sudden and a bunch of us nerds are falling over ourselves in excitement as a result.

Today’s update is the release of two new World of Darkness games. Vampire: Prelude (that’s its app name; the full title its Vampire The Masquerade: We Eat Blood and All Our Friends Are Dead) and Mage the Ascension: Refuge are both described as interactive fiction, and are presented in messaging format, suggesting World of Darkness has fully embraced the modern technological era.

You can buy these two games individually on both Google Play and the App Store, or grab them bundled as World of Darkness Preludes: Vampire and Mage on Steam. You can do it right now.

The two new releases follow on from the announcement of Werewolf: The Apocalypse, a game which seems to be as much about punching nazis as anything else, after more than a decade without a single World of Darkness video game release.

This is presumably all thanks to Paradox Interactive’s acquisition of World of Darkness studio White Wolf after CCP gave up on its eight year attempt to build a World of Darkness MMO.

It’s all really happening, pals. World of Darkness video games are coming out. Before you know it we’ll be painting our fingernails black again.

Injustice 2 mobile soft launch produces gameplay trailer featuring Cyborg and Scarecrow

15 Feb

NetherRealm Studios said during Comic Con last year a mobile version of Injustice 2 would be released. Well, it has – but only in the Philippines.

It’s a soft launch, so expect to hear more on its release closer to Injustice 2 hitting shelves for PS4 and Xbox One.

Thanks to a gameplay video from All Star Production though, we can get a look at the iOS and Android title a bit early.

As noticed by Event Hubs, the video not only shows gameplay, but two characters which have yet to be announced for the console version: Cyborg and Scarecrow.

Earlier this week we were given a look at Cheetah, Catwoman and Poison Ivy, and the Injustice website notes the next character reveal will take place on February 23, so it’s possible both Cyborg and Scarecrow, or one of the two, will be announced. Or it could be someone else entirely.

A western release date hasn’t been announced for Injustice 2 on mobile and tablet, but the core game is out on PS4 and Xbox One May 16.

Big Pokemon Go update coming this week, brings 80+ Pokemon from Gold & Silver, more

15 Feb

Pokemon Go is getting a huge update that will add gameplay improvements and over 80 new Pokemon.

Pokemon Go developer Niantic has announced that it’ll be releasing a big update for the game this week that’ll bring updated encounter gameplay, new evolution options, new Berries, and more. More importantly, over 80 new Pokemon will also be added from Pokemon Gold & Silver.

Chikorita, Cyndaquil, and Totodile are among the new Pokemon. These will be found in the wild, not exclusively from eggs.

The new evolution options allow Trainers to evolve their Pokemon into any of the Pokemon found in Gold & Silver’s Johto region. As for the new Berries, there are two of them. The Nanab Berry slows Pokemon movements, and the Pinap Berry doubles the amount of Candy received if the following catch attempt succeeds.

Trainer avatar items are also getting expanded, and you’ll be able to choose from a selection of new hats, shirts, pants, and other cosmetic items. Some will be available for purchase from the in-game store.

Niantic hasn’t announced a solid date for the update just yet beyond “later this week,” but it did release a trailer to get you excited in the meantime.
